teamSUPER proudly raised over $35,000 in this year’s Around the Bay in a Day® bike ride to help support The Smith Family. Led by Superpartners, teamSUPER is comprised of Superpartners staff, Industry Fund Clients, business suppliers and family and friends. This year, Superpartners was awarded this year’s Corporate Cup, recognising the biggest corporate team, with 161 riders.
Greg Camm, CEO Superpartners said: “The Melbourne cycling event is a great way for Superpartners to give back to the community while also supporting the health and wellbeing of our staff. It is one of the largest community events that we support. Greg rode the 50 kilometre ride from Melbourne, over the Westgate Bridge to Altona and return. “The conditions were great, but I have to say that running a company is easier than cycling uphill with the wind against you,” said Greg.
Up to the actual ride, teamSUPER led promotions, fundraisers, newsletters and training programs for their riders. The most popular fundraiser was the 24 hour Super Cycle, where 21 team members cycled around the clock on exercise bikes in the lobby of Casselden Place, raising over $4,300.00. Noteworthy efforts included Finance Manager, Simon Eade, riding six hours straight and Fund Relationship Manager, Sam Gosios, turning up at 3am and riding for four hours in a row.
Superpartners actively supports a company bicycle user group, called SPBUG and have made important improvements to our Melbourne office facilities including secure room in Casselden Place basement with lockers, change rooms and bike racks for staff to use.
