Superpartners claims global HP award for IT operations

24-Nov-2009

Next month in Germany, Superpartners will be officially announced as the winner for HP’s top award in business technology optimisation. The 2009 software and solution awards honour HP customers using solutions in effective and innovative ways to deliver business value.

Sinan Erbay, Head of IT Operations, submitted the award application and was thrilled that Superpartners will be recognised with HP’s highest global honours, beating competition from all around the world.

“Since implementing HP Software three years ago, we have realised enormous benefits including reduced downtime, better performance and reduced incidents. It’s also been estimated that we’ll have a return on our investment within 15 months, and 58% ROI after three years,” said Sinan.

HP Business Availability Centre software has allowed Superpartners to monitor the availability and performance of our applications and gaining true end-to-end visibility into what was happening behind the scenes.

“We now have access to the information we needed to diagnose, isolate and fix problems quickly to maintain business continuity,” added Sinan.

For three years running, Superpartners’ systems have an average uptime of 99.7%. Three years ago, this figure was 97%. One of the biggest benefits has been reduced incidents.   Between 2005 and 2008, Superpartners experienced a 65% reduction in ‘severity 1’ incidents. In 2008 alone, Superpartners achieved a 73% reduction in support queues.

“Overall, our HP solutions are integral to the smooth operation of our applications, infrastructure and network components. It gives us the foundation that we need to drive better business outcomes from IT. But more importantly, it helps us bring together the people, governance and processes to improve the management of our solutions and services and meet business demands,” concluded Sinan.
