Craig Willingham, IT Security and Risk Manager
At SuperpartnersOur core business relies on IT systems, so that means protecting our systems through risk management, and managing the recovery of our system in the unlikely of event of outages. I used to wear a uniformI became involved in IT security when I was in the Police Force in the Computer Crime Investigation Squad. I was in the Force for ten years, and then spent another ten years consulting in IT Security, Risk Management, and Governance, as well as a stint in the Coles Myer internal audit team. Every day is a challengeI love a challenge! Late last year (2008), we announced a company-wide transformation programme across our systems, processes and operations. IT is a major part of the success of the changes we’re implementing. For us, that means replacing our 22 legacy systems with one system. This keeps us busy, but I really enjoy being part of such an important company-wide initiative. Ultimately, we’re building one of the best systems. It’s such a great time to be working at Superpartners. On the weekends, I’m a farmerWe have 100 acres in Bonnie Doon, which we bought in August 2008. It’s been a dream to own a farm and we’d been looking for about 6 years. We’re preparing to run beef cattle on our property and have three horses. My daughter loves the horses – I think it’s every 12 year old girl’s dream.
