Reducing our carbon footprint by saving power

11-Feb-2011

From 14 February Superpartners will launch a PC auto shutdown initiative at 11pm as part of our efforts to reduce our carbon footprint.

After conducting successful pilots, we’re implementing the PC shutdown initiative to reduce our energy consumption. The initiative started from an idea posted on the Superpartners intranet to shut down computers outside of business hours. It was then researched and put into action by the CSR committee.

The initiative will help Superpartners reduce our energy consumption as part of our broader Corporate Social Responsibility strategy.

We have strength in numbers, servicing over 6.5 million member accounts

I’m responsible for managing the trainers who will be delivering the training for our new system once it rolls out. I am also reviewing support requirements for post launch, as well as looking at the needs of external parties including our Clients.

I love travelling and try to go overseas at least once every two years. I don’t like to visit the same place twice as I think there are so many places in the world that I am yet to discover. My favourite places so far though are Africa and New York.
