Superpartners appoints new CEO from within

15-May-2012

Superpartners announced today that its Board of Directors has appointed Peter McNeil as its incoming Chief Executive Officer and Andrew Field as Deputy Chief Executive Officer. Peter McNeil will replace Superpartners’ current Chief Executive Officer, Greg Camm, following the announcement of his retirement in March 2012.

Mr McNeil, who is currently the Chief Operating Officer at Superpartners, has been with the company since 2006. Over this period, he has played a key strategic role in the growth of Superpartners, and in partnering with Superpartners’ clients to provide quality superannuation services while delivering on a significant transformation agenda.

Mr Field has been Chief Financial Officer at Superpartners since 2009 and this new responsibility reflects the valuable leadership contribution he has made during this time.

Speaking on behalf of the Board, Chairman Alan Beanland said “we believe that the combination of both Peter and Andrew will create a dynamic and strong leadership team to oversee Superpartners through the remainder of Superpartners’ transformation programme and beyond.”

“These appointments are a testament to the quality of the leadership at Superpartners, and will provide the necessary expertise and stability to ensure the organisation can deliver on its strategic objectives” said Mr Beanland.

Over the past four years, Superpartners has been undertaking the most significant organisational transformation in its 28 year history. The nextGEN programme is providing the capacity and capability that Superpartners needs to continue to leverage its scale to deliver cost and service advantages to its clients, their members and employers.

“The Board is confident that the new appointments will further strengthen Superpartners' ability to capitalise on its position as Australia's largest superannuation services provider” said Mr Beanland.

Superpartners’ clients are also supportive of the new leadership with David Elia, CEO of HOSTPLUS, welcoming the appointments.

“Both Peter and Andrew have built a distinguished track record of leadership and service to Superpartners and to our organisation. We look forward to building on our solid partnership with Peter and Andrew as they lead Superpartners through the biggest transformation in the organisation’s history” said Mr Elia.

The Board acknowledged the contribution of Mr Camm in leading Superpartners over the past five years.

“Greg is leaving Superpartners in great shape having lifted the capability and culture of the organisation and reset the strategic direction to ensure our future success. These achievements have been pivotal in cementing the relationships with our Clients and building on our vision of being a proud and trusted partner of industry super” said Mr Beanland.

Mr McNeil and Mr Field will officially commence in their new roles from 1 July 2012.
